but I’m back and ready to blog about positive body image! Yayayay! How have you guys been?
According to average lingerie model measurements, my waist would have to be about 3-4 inches thinner and my boobs would have to be a cup size bigger. I sketched this out on my stomach to get a good look of what I would need to be. And you know what? My body just cannot physically morph to these standards. And that’s fine. I love my body and everything it does for me!
First of all, I’ve been working a whole bunch lately. I’ve had no time to do anything. Second, my laptop broke and I’ve been using the desktop computer in the basement and I really don’t like being down here. Third, I’ve been worrying about my Aiden. I miss him. He’s okay, but he’s been recovering and we haven’t been talking much which makes me sad. But I heard from him last night and he’s getting better and almost ready to go home. Awesome! :D
So, let me tell you what else I’ve been doing.
I’ve been working on starting a Positive Body Image group in my community. I haven’t been able to get anywhere though but I’ve been looking and trying my hardest.
I’ve also been doing meditation, which is doing WONDERS on my stress and anxiety.
A couple weeks ago I noticed that when I was nervous or upset I would start to pick at my skin to the point where I was bleeding. I was doing it and not even noticing. It got really bad and I had to go to the doctor. She told me to try and do things that relax me and I have been. I’ve been sleeping more, hanging out with my friends, going out. It’s really made a difference. I’ve been on my A-Game recently which makes me feel amazing. I have more energy. I feel better about myself when I look in the mirror, I actually feel happy. It’s great.
I probably won’t be posting much here or on my personal blog for a while unless it’s on my phone or from the desktop. But feel free to leave things in my ask and submit while I’m away. I love coming back to asks and submissions.
I love working out! I love to dance so I go and do zumba at the local YMCA!
Eating healthier foods is always nice too! Fatty, greasy foods may taste delicious but I always notice that I’m feeling gross and sluggish after! Instead of a burger from BK, try a fruit salad with yogurt and a big glass of water!
You don’t have to diet, or work out to the point where you’re miserable, but just try new things. Try going for a walk once a day, bring your ipod or your phone and listen to your favorite music and just walk! Instead of cutting out foods that you really enjoy, try portion control and just eat less of that food in one sitting. Like, instead of a double whopper with large fries and a large coke, get a single whopper and small fries and a coke. it makes a difference on how much you eat, not what you eat in general
I’ve been rather busy. I’m going to try and start posting more as soon as work slows down a bit. Been kinda busy with my personal life and everything as well.
My boyfriend goes into surgery tuesday for his kidney transplant! Wish him/I luck!
next time someone calls you “fat” or “ugly” look them directly in the eye and say “I’d rather be fat and ugly than ignorant, insecure and unhappy.”
Because most people who call someone out on their looks obviously can’t find anything else wrong with you to put you down with. These people may not be jealous of you or they may not like you. But something inside of them doesn’t like what you got.
They’re insecure with themselves, they’re unhappy with their own life. It’s not that you’re actually fat or ugly it’s the fact that they need to find someone else to take it out on.
Love yourself ladies and gents and you can change the world one person at a time.
